February 2020 Designer Picks

February in the Puget Sound means lots of rain, a bit of snow, and weekends anticipating the coming of Spring. For Schoener, it means a brand new Molly Schwartz art piece in our showroom, shown above, and another chance to share our current favorite items with our wonderful clients and followers.

ELIOSE SOFA by Highland House

We love contemporary takes on traditional designs, and this sofa is a wonderful example of such a blend. The sloping arms that seem to envelope the front of cushion mimics that of a cabriole sofa without the ornate wood carvings, while the fulling upholstered base remind us of fabric skirts found on many traditional furniture pieces. To top it off, this sofa is as comfortable as it is stylish.

ACRYLIC SCULPTURES by Muniz

Finding a sculpture that is both visually heavy and light almost seems impossible. However, Muniz Plastics creates just that! Acrylic ribbons of beautiful colors and textures rise from their bases in elegant spirals, creating a unique 3D dance between positive and negative space. Though it is transparent and beautifully refracts any light source, the acrylic dominates the space it inhabits as if it grew out of the ground.

SHEEPSKIN BEAN BAG by Auskin

Bean bag chairs are not just for kids, and they certainly do not need to look like they belong in a kid's playhouse. These wonderfully soft sheepskin bean bags are perfect for curling up next to a fire on rainy days, yet look stylish enough to be on display throughout the year.

CUSTOM COUTURE SECTIONAL by Marge Carson

Sometimes a room needs a uniquely shaped sofa, but those can be difficult to find. Thankfully, Marge Carson has a beautiful solution with their Couture Sectionals. With angles, curves, and everything in between, this collection has it all to make a truly custom sized and shaped sofa. All of their sofas and sectionals come with a plethora of pillows to round out the design and complete the comfort experience.

HAAS BROTHERS COLLECTION by L'Objet

Whimsical pieces are always a must for us, so it makes sense that we would be drawn towards the Haas Brothers collection by L'Objet. Adorably stylish monsters create salt and pepper shakers, napkin rings, dishes, and much more. Add these to your next dinner event, and they are sure to be the talk of the table.
