Live Beautifully.

A Family Business. A 50-Year Obsession with Getting it Right.

Schoener Interiors didn't start in a showroom. It started in a garage.

In 1976, Linda Schoener began what she thought would be a small upholstery workshop, and quickly discovered that everything she loved about design lived in interiors: the texture of fabric, the discipline of scale, the way a room can make someone feel at home in their own life. She never looked back.

What grew from that garage is now one of the Pacific Northwest's most trusted design destinations, still family-owned, still locally rooted, still run by people who believe that great design should feel effortless for the client and never follow a trend just because it's trending. In 2026, Schoener opened its most intentional chapter yet: a destination design center in the heart of Kirkland, fifty years in the making.

Why Kirkland

Kirkland is a thriving, walkable, deeply community-minded neighborhood. The kind of place where residents, business owners, and city leaders actually show up for one another. From the moment we arrived, that warmth was unmistakable.

We came here because Kirkland reflects how we've always operated: rooted in community, invested in relationships, and built for the long term. Our new home was designed to bring every resource: furniture, lighting, tile, fabrics, hardware, rugs, and our full design team, under one roof, so every decision can be made with context, confidence, and something worth being excited about.

What makes us Different

We don't show complete sets. We never have. Every corner of our showroom is an intentional composition — eclectic, curated, and built to inspire rather than to sell a "look." You'll find furnishings alongside art alongside lighting alongside hardware, because that's how a real home comes together. Not in categories. In conversation.

We are a full-service design center, which means we handle everything from first concept to final placement — and the design services are always complimentary. You invest in the products and the vision. We invest in making sure it's exactly right.

We also sell off the showroom floor, which is rarer than it should be. If you see it, you can have it. Customization is always an option, but so is simply falling in love with something and taking it home.

And when something goes wrong — because in any project, something sometimes does — we handle it. No passing the buck. No pointing at a vendor. We've been doing this long enough to know that how you respond to a problem is what defines a client relationship.

A Note on Legacy

We have watched trends come and go for fifty years. We have watched showrooms open and close. We have watched clients return, not because they needed something new, but because they trusted us to help them get it right again.

That consistency is not accidental. It is a choice, made every day, to prioritize relationships over transactions, quality over quantity, and longevity over what's popular right now.

We are a family business. We intend to stay one.
